So you've always wanted to learn to dance!
Maybe you've got a special occasion coming up that you'd like to be able to dance at, then sign up for our classes, and we'll help you find your feet, along with lots of fun and new friends, on the dance floor.
Maybe you'd like to give dance lessons as a gift to someone who would love to learn to dance, maybe you're bored with the gym, or just want to do something new, or maybe Strictly is a must view and you'd just love to have a go!
As
Len Goodman from 'Strictly' said,
"Everyone should have some dance in their life..."
and Strictly contestant
Judge Rinder , "It's never too late to start."
and as my dancers say,
"It's a great way to keep fit and socialise in a relaxed, friendly environment; you continue to learn and can't get bored."
We are delighted to welcome same gender and Trans couples.
Once you get started, you'll wonder why you didn't do it before - it's fun, it's a great way to stay fit and healthy and we all leave smiling!

"Hi Karen, just to say a massive thank you for our first dance lessons.
You took two people who didn’t have a clue and made us look like we did. We had great fun - probably one of my favorite parts of the whole day!
We had so much fun coming to the group classes too, hope to see you again soon."

About your tutor
Karen is an experienced teacher in both Latin and Ballroom dance, and is a fully qualified associate with the International Dance Teachers Association .
She has been teaching dancing for over 25 years, in which time she has taught many celebrities and television actors for their dance debuts on-screen performance and has choreographed many special dance occasions including wedding first dances, tea dances and special anniversaries.

Some 15 years I went to dance lessons with my wife at which time Karen was assisting the main teacher and it was apparent back then that she was very capable in terms of helping others. Unfortunately for me at the time I found it very difficult to get even the basics and whilst my wife was extremely competent I was getting increasingly frustrated that I did not seem to be progressing.
Whilst I certainly did not blame the dance teacher at the time we eventually moved to another dance class to see if that would help and despite being determined to improve it was apparent that I was just not getting it!
There followed a period of time where I inevitably lost interest but out of the blue Karen got in touch to say that she was starting a new class locally following her qualifications in Ballroom and Latin dance teaching.
I can’t say that my improvement was immediate but Karen had a way of demonstrating the key basics which once learned served to allow quicker progress – and a sense of confidence to get to the next level. Before too long I found myself enjoying dance lessons for the first time because the footwork in particular was becoming more natural and with it a greater sense of assurance.
I was, however, keen to take the next step so to speak so I asked Karen about taking medals so that through practical based Latin and Ballroom lessons I would be ready to pass exams in all the relevant dances.
To date I have completed bronze, silver and gold Latin – with good passes - along with bronze, silver and gold Ballroom. These medals obviously require greater competence in specific technique and whilst it has been a difficult process it has definitely been worthwhile & rewarding.
My journey as far as medals are concerned are nearing an end but the ultimate aim is to keep progressing and enjoying the experience of dance.
We would kindly request that you wear appropriate footware. For followers, court style shoes and for leaders flat leather shoes.
No trainers, flipflops, platform shoes or black rubber soles please as you will find these to be difficult and uncomfortable to dance in.
