Dancing - moving the body in time to music
Classes in Ballroom & Latin American style dancing tuition, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire

So you've always wanted to learn to dance

Maybe you've got a special occasion coming up that you'd like to be able to dance at, then sign up for our classes, and we'll help you find your feet, along with lots of fun and  new friends, on the dance floor.

Maybe you'd like to give dance lessons as a gift to someone who would love to learn to dance, maybe you're bored with the gym, or just want to do something new, or maybe Strictly is a must view and you'd just love to have a go!

As Len Goodman from 'Strictly' said,   "Everyone should have some dance in their life..."
and Strictly contestant Judge Rinder,   "It's never too late to start."
and as my dancers say,   "It's a great way to keep fit and socialise in a relaxed, friendly environment; you continue to learn and can't get bored."

Partners are not essential for you to join these classes; we are also delighted to welcome same gender couples.

Once you get started, you'll wonder why you didn't do it before - it's fun, it's a great way to stay fit and healthy and we all leaving smiling!

About your tutor

Karen is an experienced dance teacher in Latin and Ballroom dance and is a fully qualified associate with  the International Dance Teachers Association.
She has been teaching dancing for over 15 years, in which time she has also taught  on screen performers for their TV dance debuts and choreographed many special dance  occasions.
Client comments:
"Karen helped us to build our confidence in dancing together and gave us clear and supportive advice. We really enjoyed our sessions, laughed a lot and felt that we’d made real progress."

"We had the most magical wedding in Italy.  Thank you so much for choreographing our first dance. We loved our dance and we were so pleased we worked so hard on it. Now we can’t wait to learn to tango!"

What we offer

Regular classes in Ballroom and Latin American dance for beginners and for those that may have had some previous experience but would like to brush up on their dance techniques, run all year round. Classes are very informal and designed to be fun and enjoyable. You will receive individual attention as well as being able to practice together with others.
Private lessons or Private Groups or 'First Dance' lessons are by arrangement on Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturdays. Book early as these slots go fast; we don't ask you to share the floor with any other couples, the session is for you to enjoy and have the full attention of a qualified, experienced tutor to help you. Please see the PRIVATE LESSONS page for further information.
We occasionally hold Social Dances where you can put your new found dance skills into practice and meet new friends with similar interests.  All classes are invited to come along, including friends and family, it's a great chance to learn a little more, put what you've learnt so far into practice and to meet the other members of the school in a relaxed social session.

Look at our NOTICEBOARD area for further information on all our current social events.

PRIVATE LESSONS & FIRST DANCE:
Are also available by appointment only,
Daytimes on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday,
Evenings on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday
Mornings on Saturday only.

Private lessons are suitable for those who want to learn a 'First Dance' or to concentrate on a particular dance style, work on specific figures or routines, prepare for special events or for taking medals.  If you've had to miss a few group classes then a private lesson is a great way to catch up or sort out specific concerns.

You can arrange to come along to a 'taster' session to see if it's for you. Simply pay for the single trial lesson and then decide whether you want to continue from there. Trial lessons are £10 per person payable in advance with £3 being discounted when you sign up for a term thereafter.

To give yourself a fair change of progressing you need to allow at least 8 weeks of regular attendance before deciding whether it's something you would wish to continue;  to be fair, you'll never stop learning to dance - after 15 years of dancing myself I am still always learning, but that's half the pleasure - you won't get bored!  However, do give yourself time to learn, it won't happen overnight but it will be memorable and become a passion you can share with other likeminded people.

Please contact us to book your place on the course as places are limited, particularly for the Beginners sessions!
We would kindly request that you wear appropriate footware. For ladies, court style shoes and for men flat leather  shoes.
No trainers, flipflops, platform shoes or black rubber soles as you will find these difficult and  uncomfortable to dance in.
